HomestayCalendar

Setup guide

How to connect your calendars

HomestayCalendar reads export iCal links (what each OTA publishes about blocked nights). You paste those links under each property. Menus change occasionally — if a path differs, look for “Sync calendars”, “Export calendar”, or “iCal”.

1. Create your account

  1. Go to Sign up and create a free account.
  2. Open the app and add a property (name + color).
  3. You’ll paste one iCal URL per channel you use for that listing.

2. Booking.com

  1. Log in to the Booking.com Extranet.
  2. Open the calendar for the room / unit you want to sync.
  3. Find Sync calendars (sometimes under a ⋯ menu).
  4. Choose Export calendar / copy the calendar link.
  5. Paste into HomestayCalendar under that property’s Booking.com field.

Tip: export links often contain a long token — treat them like passwords; don’t post publicly.

3. Airbnb

  1. Open Airbnb and go to your listing’s calendar.
  2. Availability settings → Sync calendars / calendar export.
  3. Copy the export link (ends in .ics or similar).
  4. Paste into the property’s Airbnb field.

4. Agoda

  1. Log in to Agoda YCS (or your property extranet).
  2. Find calendar / channel / iCal export for the room type.
  3. Copy the export URL into HomestayCalendar’s Agoda field.

Agoda’s UI varies by property type; search help for “iCal” or “calendar export” if needed.

5. VRBO (and similar Expedia Group)

  1. Open your VRBO owner / partner dashboard for the listing.
  2. Look for calendar sync, import/export, or iCal.
  3. Copy the export calendar link.
  4. Paste into the property’s VRBO field.

6. What you’ll see

  • Each property has one color; all its channels merge into that color.
  • All busy (amber) nights mean every visible property is occupied.
  • OTA iCal is often sparse (e.g. “CLOSED”) — we show nights booked, not guest names.
  • Refresh or wait for auto-refresh (~15 min while the app is open).

7. Multiple devices

Signed-in accounts store settings in the cloud. You can also use a4-digit private sync code under Settings for a shared setup without re-entering links.

  • Push — upload this device’s settings to the code.
  • Pull — download cloud settings onto this device.
